HI! How ya'll doin?
Let me tell you how much I miss you guys.  I miss my mornings with my cup of Joe, wandering through all of your amazing lives (all creepy like ;)... kidding!).  I'm going to do my best to get back in the habit... cuz gosh I miss it!
My CAMERA!!! has been back in my hot little hands and I've been snapping like crazy.  You ready to see how big the Bug is?  Prepare yourself.. she's a MONSTER!

Say hello to my 10.5 month old, friends.  Can you believe it?  I can't!
I'll be in & out... here & there....

Guess what?!?

I'm ALIVE! Haha... I know I've been beyond MIA.  I haven't checked in to say hello in a LONG time, and my Facebook has been boring me.

Wanna know what else? Jae-Bug and I are doing amazing.  We've been here & there, doing baby things, and keeping extremely busy.   We're happier than ever and we're keeping it that way!

Jae and I just moved, so we have no internet.  I promise to check in here & there when I find some wi-fi hot spots.

Wanna know what I've been up to in the photog world? This girl has NO camera.  Can you believe it? I know.  I HATE it.  It's torture.  I've been saving my pennies and hopefully soon I'll have a machine back in my hands.  God Bless my best friend for having a t2i... she helps me rid that photo bug every once in a while.
Remember Taba's maternity shoot?  Well.... she popped! I was honored to do her L&D shoot, and then followed up with a newbie session.  Here's a peek:

I miss you guys.  Jae does too.

She's my Best Friend.

She's been by my side since we were 4 years old.  We've been through think and thin, good and bad, some tears and TONS of laughter.  She's there when I need her without question, she's honest and loving.  She's my role model when it comes to relationships, motherhood, and friendship.
She's my best friend and you have NO idea how much she means to me.

Her Beautiful family of four is about to grow to five as they prepare to welcome Owen to the world, and I had the honors to take on her maternity photos.
Enjoy yourself a peek and be prepared to in awe of her beauty.
I'm so blessed to have her as my best.

blah, blah, blah...

The following writings is slightly negative and mainly just a way for me to release some frustrations.  Read at your own discretion.

Breathe in, breathe out... breathe in, breathe out.

That's what I struggle to remind myself.  To take deep individual breaths and realize that life is... well, life.  I have been tested lately- from every angle of life's struggles.  From my camera malfunctioning and needing to save in order to purchase a new machine, to my computer's keyboard being reprogrammed (I love you, baby girl!, but you aren't quite ready to play on Mommy's comuter), to being bed ridden for 3 days with an extremely painful pulled muscle in my back, to multiple doctors visits for my Bug to rule out some sort of virus that causes... well, I think that's TMI, to some other serious personal issues that tend to be a constant battle in my mind.
It's so crazy how life throws tests at you- and when it rains, it pours.  I need to remember... there's a light at the end of the tunnel.  It may be a long one, but it's there and I won't give up.

Part of my issues are due to postpartum (I have never once admitted that on my Blog).  I've got a good case of depression.  It is partially due to the changes and stresses of being a Mommy (I wouldn't change it for a thing), but also has to do with my pregnancy story.  I'm gaining the confidence to possibly write about it on Utah Baby Blog.. stay tuned for my extremely revealing story.  I'm beginning to learn that others can relate to my story, and I love that I can possibly reach out to help other Mommies.  But, as I said... I need to gain the confidence to reveal all, because the puzzle won't be complete unless I share all.
So I continue to remind myself... breathe in, breathe out.  Relax.  Take life one day at a time and thank God for every Blessing in my life.

I know life could be MUCH worse, and I AM thankful for all I am blessed with.  It just feels good to release, and God Bless my Blog to have a place to do that.

peek, peek..

I was lucky enough to do my bestest friend's maternity photos yesterday.  Her beauty is too much to handle.
We did intimate Boudoir, and a few cutesy outdoor.  I'll share more this week :)
Jae and I are partying with her beautiful family this weekend.  I'll be back in the swing of things on Tuesday.  I sure do miss you guys!

I'm diagnosing myself with my very first case of bloggy-blockerson.  It's serious, folks.

It may be related to my extremely fussy, needy, teething child who won't let me out of her sight at any given moment? (I secretly adore it)

Or maybe the lovely visit from my Aunt Flo? She's ferocious this month- she won't get out of my kitchen and she insists on arguing with me... Ohhhh family.
PMS is at it's all time high. (AKA BEWARE!).

I'm going to escape from this house, get some hugs from my oh-so-loved Grandpa, and search for some vitamin D.
Happy Tuesday, Lovelies!
I'll be back soon with a smile on my face along with something interesting to talk about.  Promise.

She's so beautiful :]

She's a Babe.

I said it.
She's cooler than the coolest of Cats.
Juussss' sayin'.

Touch Up Tuesday's at the Paper Mama

Please excuse her poor nose.  This is evidence of her first true "digger".  BOOO!

Summer is approaching... and we're SO excited.

edit me (challenge)

I took on a random challenge.  It was fun! (yes, I think editing photos is fun)
Have you been to Ashley... plus three? You should check out her super adorable Blog.

Check out this little Boy.  Handsome? YES!
I was aiming for the natural look.  I hope I nailed it :]

Put your party hats on!

Cuz we're havin' a Blog Party.

Hi! It's so nice to see you here!
You've wandered into the life of The "J" Family, and we're so excited to have you.
I started Blogging about this little family of three due to peer pressure.  A dear friend of mine, Jhen Stark (From Here to Eternity) told me if I didn't start Blogging , she was going to come to my house and give me an Indian Burn.  Who likes Indian Burns? I don't.  So I started up this bad boy, got addicted, and fell in love.  Thanks, Jhen.  Have you seen her Blog? You should.  She's amazing.  Oh, and like my design? Ya... she did it.  Totally talented.
(the indian burn part was a total fib)

I'm Jen, the Mama.  SAHM, part-time photographer, brand new Auntie, and a tad bit crazy.
Lover of the Sea, ex soccer player of 12 years, and a spoiler to my child.

Jeff is the Daddy.  He's the Man of the house.  Herpatologist, real estate agent, and part-time construction worker (AKA- he's BUSY!).

Jaelyn is the star of the Family.  She's 8 months old, and loved to the Moon and back.
She's an eater of all types of organic foods, a professional pooper and crawler, learner of walking, no fan to sleep, and she has more things to do than the President of the US.

It's so nice to meet you! If you joined the Blog party and would like to share with us, please leave the link in our comment section and I'll show some love.

Have a good day!

Jaelyn & the beach

Oh, hi!  We're going to share a Beach story with you.

For those of you who know me, I'm totally, madly in love with the ocean.  It's a little sick, actually.
When I was 18 I packed up and moved to an island in order to educate myself, and little tykes about the ways of our Sea.  But I decided I needed to take a step back to reality and head to the mainland and get an education under my belt.

Anyways.  On to the title of my post.

We brought Jae to the beach with intent to put her toes in the sand for the first time.  I had hopes that she was going to LOVE it.  I mean, she's a baby, and babies like water... and she's my kid, right?
I was wrong.  She wasn't the hugest fan.

Okay... she wasn't a fan at all.  The sand scared the poor poo outta her, and the water was freezing.

This is me.  Bummed.  We need to do some serious talking, Jaelyn and I.  My daughter can't NOT like the beach.
Or maybe I should just realize that she's her own person and she'll dig what she digs?  Yes.  That's what needs to happen.

I'm sure she'll warm up to it eventually.  I hope.
