Boy is Jae going through some milestones. Jeff and I blink and BAM! there she goes again, blowing us away. I always hear people telling us is goes by so fast and they grow up quicker than a weed... I never wanted to listen. I now agree. Let's slam on the brakes... we're going too fast.
Jae has decided that she will feed herself her Baba while sitting in her highchair. She's been pretty good about holding her own Baba since she was about 5 months old, but she took a step up in the Baba holding life.
and take notice to that left hand fist hold. Yep- that's how she rocks it. I think it's funny.
Now here's the milestone that blows my mind... she's pulling herself on on things- to a FULL stand. REALLY, Baby Girl... you just started crawling a month ago (and you're only 7 months old!).
It's looking as if I should just hold on tight and enjoy the ride. I must say- this is my favorite age by far. Naps are improving, she's beginning to sleep through the night, and her interaction level is amazing. Dear seven months, I love you.
Question for ya'll: Jae has started this weird face rub. I feel as if it's allergies? She started it a few weeks ago, and I thought it was her sign that she was tired, but now it's coming on MUCH more frequently. She has a mild runny nose, and little sneezing, but nothing else. Should I contact the Doctor? Have you seen this behavior in your little ones? Like I said, it was nothing big before, but she rubs her face A LOT now... and it's making me wonder.
You see? That there knuckle rub is becoming an hourly thing. Tired? Or allergies?
Being a Mommy is so rewarding. I love every second of Jae's milestones. And while I say it's too much... I mean it in a way, but it's sure sign that my Baby is happy and healthy. What can be any better than that? If Baby is happy, Mama's happy. Oh- and one more piece of news: Last week was a good week for photography. I won two awards. Woop-woop.
Over & out, friends. This Mama has got a messy house and some eatin' to do. xoxo

7 Things About the Mama of The "J" Family:
I have uneven pupils due to the Chicken Pox turning into a severe case of the shingles when I was 5. It put me in a coma for 5 days and the shingles covered my entire right side of my face. The only yuck it left me with is a pupil that doesn't dilate, SLIGHT nerve damage on the right side of my forehead, and a minor scar on my eyebrow. Holy moly am I blessed. Oh, and if you're wondering... I LOVE my uneven pupils. It's me.
I lived on an island for 8 months in 2004 for 8 months... in a TENT. I lived my days teaching little kiddos how to snorkel, and teaching them about the wonders of the sea. Those were some of the best days of my life.
Speaking of the wonders of the sea.. I am Miss random facts when it comes to the ocean. I guess you could say I'm slightly obsessed when it comes to "Big Blue".
Hand me a bikini, my babes, and a body of water and I'm a happy camper. I'm quite the Summer Time girl.
My hair is currently the longest it's ever been (thanks to pregnancy), and I plan on keeping it that way. I heart it.
I am one of the biggest procrastinators you've ever met. Procrastination should be my middle name. I blame it on my huge dose of ADD that God blessed me with.
I have 3 weird fears. First and BIGGEST: Earthquakes. Second: Lightning. Third: Being stopped under freeway bridges (I blame the earthquake fear). I know... quirky fears. But they get me. Yuck.
Well Hello, Wednesday! Today, I will call you wordless. I'm in a funk today... I just kinda feel "blah". So I wandered through photos from Jae's 7 month session (go HERE to read about her 7 month milestones & to see more photos) and got my edit on. Looking at my Beauty of a Bebe always snaps me into shape. Plus, the weather yesterday was perfection. Amazing sunlight, perfect breeze, and the temperature was juusssttt right. I needed to go there again.. so I did. P.S.: I bought some new radical actions today. Woop-woop!
It's that time again! I state "again" for the reason of time slipping away from me..
Jaelyn Ryleigh is 7 months old. I feel like it was yesterday when I Blogged about the Bug turning 6 months.
Jaelyn is growing so fast. She has accomplished SO many milestones this month. I'm having a hard time keeping up!
These are some of the things that you do: You crawl 6-7 steps at a time, going into a landau (the swim motion on her belly), snap back up, then back at it. You're QUICK, too!
You go from crawling to a sit to play with toys. You're starting to pull yourself up on things. You're not the best at it yet, but you sure are working on it! Your favorite is when you suck your bottom lip into your mouth and make hummmming noises. You spray drool EVERYWHERE and you think it's funny. You mimic three sounds that are made at you, along with some facial expressions. You LOVE the game "I'm gonna getcha", and you're crazy about the tickle monster! You "Flirt" with Daddy and it's the cutest thing ever. Ohh you are needy. You are now Mommy's shadow. You do your best to follow me around the house while fussing for me to pick you up (I kinda like it, too!). Your little white cap disappeared, although I'm totally convinced that you're still teething. You chew on things as if you're a puppy, and you drool worse than a Saint Bernard. You are starting to Blabber more. I'm hearing more words from you like "bababababa", "lalalalala", "SCREAM!", "mumumumu", and MANY more. I'm seeing that you are pretty shy when we go out in public. You turn into a mute! We need to work on that. You love the Bubble Guppies. You will watch a whole episode without moving while laughing and screaming at the mermaids. I'm glad you like it, because Mommy does too! Sleep is a chore. You go to bed between 8-9pm, wake up at 1am, 3am, 5-6am, then up for the day at 8:30am. Your Mama is tired. But we're working on it!!
I'm so anxious to see what we have to come. I have a feeling that the next 5 months are going to be as exciting as ever.
As always... Mommy and Daddy love you to the Moon and back, Miss Jaelyn Ryleigh. You brighten our lives more than you know.
I was so honored to mentor my "Cousin" the other day. I swooped up her three little birdies and got to work. Let me tell you... the CUTEST little girls I've ever gotten my camera on. I melted when I got home and saw my photos. I hope you melt with me. They're pretty dang cute!
Did you melt? They all have their own unique personalities... and they shine through.
I really can't get enough of her- and I know you guys can't either..
This here post is random. It may even be jibberish. But I love the photos I'm sharing, and I wanted an excuse to share... so here's my... well, share.
As some of you know, I bought myself some eyes. I was in DESPERATE need. I haven't had a pair of glasses since 2005, and my eyes gotten 10x worse since then. I mean, horribly worse. I don't know how I survived without seeing for all these years. The world looks amazing through my new lenses. Do you like them? I do.
We had a photo shoot today. Nothing big- just something quick and fun. Speaking of fun... I have a surprise for ya'll! It's up and coming- to be released in a few days. The anticipation is killing me. And now it should be killing you too. Stay tuned.
I hope you enjoyed my share. Now go share with your friends about my share. P.S. Notice the HUGE watermark I'm putting on my photos? Too bad I have to start doing that- I extremely DISLIKE the fact that I have to take your eyes off the subject of the photo. Why do people have to be so weird and steal photos of your little ones? Boo.
Have a good evening, friends! Oh... and stay DRY, California!
To me, everything is an adventure. I'm a new Mom, which yes, is the biggest life adventure to me. I love every aspect of Mommyhood.. it has it's proud moments, frustrating moments, loving moments, divine moments, & "I-wanna-stop-the-world-&-melt-with-you" moments. Every moment I live with my Bug is cherished.
We "ooh" & "ahh" over every new milestone & cheer her on to overcome another.
We're The "J" Family. Life isn't perfect, but we strive to make it as blissful as possible.
